Monday Odigie has been reappointed as the technical director of the Bendel Insurance football club.
According to NAN, Kehinde Osagiede, the club’s media officer, broke the news in a statement on Wednesday in Benin.
In the statement, Osagiede said Odigie’s reappointment was approved after the club’s exit from the AITEO Cup on July 8.
The statement added he had assumed the duty of the Edo government-owned club since July 12.

According to the management of the club, Odigie’s return will strengthen the team’s technical department.
The statement also said that Benard Ogbe and Greg Ikhenoba will remain the club’s chief coach and assistant coach, respectively.
Odigie led Bendel Insurance to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in 2019 after the club’s 11-year long absence from the country’s top-flight league.

He, however, resigned later that same season after a terrible run of home performances led to constant assaults from the club’s fans.
He was also appointed the head coach of the Golden Eaglets in 2010 but his failure to lead the team to the U-17 World Cup the following year led to his dismissal.
