Saido Berahino has given his full backing to fellow forward Brown Ideye saying it is only a matter of time before he proves his class in the Barclays Premier League.
Since his club record transfer from Dynamo Kiev in the summer, the player with 24 international caps with Nigeria has failed to live up to expectation and he even squandered a great chance to put his side ahead in the weekend win against Hull at the Hawthorns.
Berahino, who eventually scored the winner in that game, has now backed the Nigerian to find his goal scoring form.
“I was really surprised that he missed that chance on Saturday because he puts those types of opportunities away in training,” Berahino said of Ideye’s missed opportunity.

“I feel for him because he has found it hard, but you can’t knock his effort and his drive to do well for the team. He hasn’t scored as many as he would have liked this season but he has to keep going.
“He is a strong character and I am sure that he will start scoring soon.”
Ideye also has the support of his manager Tony Pulis to come good at the right time.

“He needs a break, and that break is sticking the ball in the back of the net. He looked sharp around the pitch, he caused the two centre halves problems, he got up the sides three or four times today (Saturday), but the kid needs a goal,” Pulis said.
Ideye has scored just twice for Albion since his big move leading to speculations he will be offloaded this summer.
