The betrayal I’ve suffered is heartbreaking, says Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, outspoken former minister of aviation, says he is “heartbroken” by the level of betrayal he has experienced in the past few months.

Writing on his social media page on Thursday, Fani-Kayode, said: “The betrayal that I have suffered from the least expected quarters in the last three months is heart-breaking. I thought I had seen and heard it all until this.

“Thankfully the Holy Bible says ‘he who repays good with evil, evil will never leave his household’.

“I leave them to God. Destiny speaks at the end.”

In another post on his Facebook page, the director of media and publicity of the 2015 presidential campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari would advocate for “a breakup” of Nigeria if crude oil is found in the north.

Reacting to the recent commencement of exploration for crude oil in the northern part of Nigeria, he said: “My prayer for Nigeria is that oil is found in commercial quantities in the core north. I am glad that Buhari is looking for it desperately.

“If he finds it, he and the north will be the first to call for a breakup of the country. If he fails to find it they will continue to be the the greatest obstacle to the restructuring of our nation and they will continue to provide the greatest opposition to the peaceful division of our country.”

“Why? Because without southern oil the north is nothing”, Fani-Kayode added.

The controversial ex-minister who was recently released from a 67-day detention, is being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly receiving funds meant for the prosecution of the Boko Haram war, from the office of the national security adviser.

  1. Fani, how many people you your self have betrayed in your life? uncountable. What goes around comes around. All of you the wailing wailers have to endure with other people’s govt because because others too endured with your own. Buhari isn’t perfect but Nigerians pro or against know they have respectable leader who will not cheat and never allow anybody to cheat. This is what we lacked for last 3 decades. Fani, may God deliver you!

    1. @LIMAN jnr, so you agree FFK has been betrayed and you approve it because you perceive he must have betrayed other people. You also concede Buhari is not perfect but demand perfection from others. You conclude by praying that God should deliver FFK from Buhari and I say Ämen”

  2. I joined Fanikayode views always as man of GOD.the true situation in Nigeria need to be followed but is dangerous as the real wicked operator’s are not just northern but the Yoruba western that also rigged the election b4 2015 election are continually with their wealth planning and advising the power that be . They had entered the Niger Delta řegion distablising to kill Jonathan and crumble the area take permanent control of the oil but GOD will see us through. I pray for Femi-Fanikayode, Fayose and Goodluck Jonathan and Tompolo in JESUS Name.

  3. Femi my brother, first remove the log in your eye before pointing accusing finger. You are the one that first betrayed Nigeria and Nigerians by collecting money meant to fight Gboko Haram terrorist and converted to election rigging. No reasonable Nigerian will sympathize with you until you prove your innocence in the court of law.Until then save your lamentation and tears.

  4. A true man of God will speak peace not ethnic division. He will not rejoice with evil as the Bible says. I do not hold support Buhari always. His appointments are discriminatory. I don’t like him for being an ethnic bigot. However, his personal integrity in handling public money and avoiding greed and avarice stand him out. PDP wrecked this country, and that participated in that cannot be exonerated from the evil of our current hardship, even if they are my relatives.

  5. Your comment..please can you answer Femi’s question that PMB would advocate for a break-up of this country if oil is found in the core north?
