Betta Edu, minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation, says President Bola Tinubu has approved immediate humanitarian support to victims of gunmen attacks in Plateau state.
In a statement on Wednesday, Edu said her ministry would partner with the Plateau government to provide humanitarian support to the victims and the affected communities.
On Sunday, gunmen attacked 17 communities in Bokkos, Barkin Ladi, and some parts of Mangu LGAs of Plateau state.
The attackers killed over 100 residents, destroyed more than 200 houses, and left many injured and displaced.

“We are unrelenting in our efforts to ensure that every Nigerian and all parts of Nigeria experiencing humanitarian crises are catered for in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
