B’Haram suicide blasts foiled in Chad, Cameroon

Security forces of Chad and Cameroon on Friday prevented tragedy from occurring in separate markets in their respective countries.

In Chad, a male suicide bomber who disguised as a female was arrested after his attempt to bomb a market in Djembe community failed, while a female suicide bomber was also arrested after she failed to execute her mission in a market in Marou, Cameroon.

Unfortunately, a female suicide bomber struck at Gamboru market in Borno state on the same day, killing five persons.

Chad and Cameroon, which have troops in the regional force tackling Boko Haram, have become targets of the sect in recent times.

Boko Haram continues to pose security challenge across the continent despite efforts to end its six-year campaign of violence.
