Ghana’s national team captain Asamoah Gyan has been given a license to operate an airline company.
The country’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, made this known on Wednesday at the African Airshow at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
The African Airshow is an aviation industry fair that brings together players in the sector to network.
The footballer’s new business venture will be called Baby Jet Airlines.

Akufo-Addo said he has been “reliably informed that the captain of our senior national team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has obtained a carrier license and is working feverishly to establish an airline obviously called ‘Baby Jet Airline”.
It is unclear whether the airline will be operating as a domestic airline or as a regional or international company.
Gyan plays as a striker for Turkish club Kayserispor.
