President Muhammadu Buhari says the military will soon render the Boko Haram sect powerless.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Buhari said the sect is finding it more difficult to recruit new people.
Buhari said this has accounted for part of the success story the federal government has recorded against the sect.
“Part of our success story in the north-east is that Boko Haram is finding it more difficult to recruit people. The Nigerian army is intensifying its onslaught; I am confident that we will soon achieve our goal of dismembering the group and rendering it completely powerless,” he tweeted.

The president’s tweet comes days after Abubakar Shekau, leader of the insurgents, said he was tired of the calamity befalling his sect.
