Boko Haram releases video of ‘Chibok girls’

A 27-minute video showing some girls all wearing hijab has been released by Boko Haram, CNN has reported.

They are suspected to be the girls kidnapped from Chibok nearly a month ago.

The girls were also seen reciting verses from the Quran, the CNN said, suggesting that they have been converted to Islam.

Although 276 girls are believed to be missing, the girls in the video were estimated at 100.

CNN said it had not verified the authenticity of the video which was delivered to AFP.

Its news flash read: “New video from Boko Haram emerged on Monday that purports to show a number of the missing Nigerian schoolgirls.”

The time of the shooting of the video is unclear, but it offers some respite that the girls are still alive as efforts to locate and rescue them are yet to yield any fruits.

  1. Glory to God on behalf of the return of the missing chibok girls… But the issue still hangs on the existence of the boko haram.. They need to be traced from where the girls were dropped… There are alot of strategy to aid this. The tyre print of the vehicle used by the boko haram can also be of help… Some one must have seen the direction of which the chibok poor girls came from… If 100 is releases what happen to the remnant of the girls…
