Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), was sacked by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday.
This happened after armed operatives of the DSS blocked lawmakers from entering the National Assembly Complex.
While some praised the federal government for this, others believed Daura was “tactically sacked” to seek sympathy from the public.

Leadership is everything! Lawal Daura given the sack latter and suddenly everybody body don cool down.
When leaders do nothing and say nothing, they create a vacuum which nature forbids. And you know what follows.

I commend acting President @ProfOsinbajo for sacking the Director General of the Daura Secret Service, Lawal Daura. By this action, Professor Osinbajo has separated himself from the anti democratic tendencies of President @MBuhari #FrustrateBuhariDictatorship

Lawal Daura's sack is looonnngggg overdue. Has always been Saraki's mole within the Government. Used the DSS to sabotage the EFCC. Justice Minister and Attorney General of the Federation should also be sacked.

If you think and believe that the Presidency didn't order the DSS to block @nassnigeria and that Lawal Daura was made a scapegoat THEN believe that Stoke City will win the premier League this season

Don't allow the sack of Lawal Daura distract you from the fact that Buhari/Osinbajo must leave Aso Rock in 2019. This administration has been a disaster. It took them that long.

It's not the DG DSS that should be sacked. It's the person who gave the DG marching orders that should be sacked. And if he was acting independently, I'm even more worried because it makes no sense whatsoever. It's the closest thing to a military coup you can have

Lawal Daura, DG DSS, merely offered himself as a sacrifice to save Buhari's face. The guy still has his job. @OfficialAPCNg should write a better script.
We are wiser now!

Baba @MBuhari no dey sack anybody but see @ProfOsinbajo now. DG, DSS gone. So others pls be misbehaving everytime the President is not in the country so you can get what you deserve. Institutions should be institutions, politicians should be politicians but too hard to comprehend
