Boluwaji Kunlere, ex-Ondo senator, resigns from PDP

Boluwaji Kunlere, a former senator who represented Ondo south at the senate, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Kunlere was elected on the platform of the PDP in the seventh session of the national assembly in 2011.

NAN reports that the former lawmaker conveyed his resignation from the party in a letter addressed to the chair of the PDP in Igbotako ward 2, Igbotako in Okitipupa LGA of the state.

Kunlere thanked the party for its support while on the platform.

“I hereby tender my letter of resignation from the PDP with effect from January 24,” the news agency quoted him as saying.

“I sincerely express my appreciation to you and other members of the party for your cooperation and support throughout the period of my membership of the party. Thank you and God bless.

“I will decide who to vote for after the primaries by God’s grace but no discussion with any political party for now.”
