Osaze Odemwingie appears to have had a go at political satire with a pair of cryptic Tweets mimicking a jargon-happy Patrick Obahiagbon.
Odemwingie, fresh from becoming the first player to score at the 2014 World Cup for Nigeria, caused confusion when he told his 219,000 followers on Twitter about “crinkum crankum” and “odoriferous saga”.
He announced @OdemwingieP:
“The draw against Iran was the foreset origo that cause some crinkum crankum to be directed at us that was caught in the Bermuda Triangle. The state of OGaM ogam was rejected by the eagles with a higi haga style to avoid a calamitous end that brings odoriferous saga.”

The Stoke City forward was taking the mickey out of his fellow Benin man, Obahiagbon, the Edo State governor’s chief of staff who has a reputation for grandiloquent communication.
Odemwingie scored the only goal as Nigeria beat Bosnia on Saturday, and has now explained that his Bebeto-style goal celebration was tribute to his new-born son, Theo, as well as Austin Ejide’s daughter, Chimamanda.
“The goal was dedicated to our newborn kids. Theo and Chimamanda. Welcome to the world #babyswingcelebration.”

The 32-year-old and the rest of the Nigerian team are now preparing to take on Argentina on Wednesday.
