Walid Jubrin, chairman, board of trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says the party members “who are crying today will laugh again”.
On Friday, the appeal court in Rivers state affirmed Ali Modu Sheriff as the authentic chairman of the opposition party.
The court also nullified the PDP national convention that held in Port Harcourt in 2016, and the Ahmed Makarfi caretaker committee which was constituted at the convention.
But the Ahmed Makarfi faction of the party has expressed optimism that it would get victory at the supreme court.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Jibrin urged members of the PDP members to be calm and not defect to other political parties.
He said the party was consulting with its various organs to ensure that it remained strong.
“I am sure that very soon everybody will smile. Those who are crying today will laugh,” he said.

“Those who are disturbed and worried will smile and PDP will one day become one party as we know it. It’s just a question of time.”
