Bob Bradley, first American to manage an European club, has been sacked as manager of Swansea City after just 11 games in 85 days.
Bradley’s position effectively became untenable after Swansea lost 4-1 against West Ham on Boxing Day.
A large section of the crowd at the Liberty Stadium chanted ‘We want Bradley out’ during the game, which was Swansea’s third defeat in succession.
It was also the eighth time during Bradley’s tenure that Swansea had conceded three goals or more in a match.

This left the Welsh club second from bottom in the premier league, four points adrift of safety.
Bradley took training in the morning before the sad news was broken to him in the evening.
“We are sorry to lose Bob after such a short priod of time,’’ Huw Jenkins, chairman of the club, said in a statement.

“Unfortunately things haven’t worked out as planned and we felt we had to make the change with half the Premier League season remaining.
“With the club going through such a tough time, we have to try and find the answers to get ourselves out of trouble.
“Personally, I have nothing but praise for Bob. He is a good man; a good person who gave everything to the job. His work-rate is phenomenal and we wish him well for the future.
“Swansea City would like to thank Bob for his tireless efforts and wish him well for the future.

“The club will update supporters on the search for a new manager in due course.”
Alan Curtis, first-team coach, and Paul Williams, assistant manager, have been placed in charge on a temporary basis.
Unlike when Francesco Guidolin was dismissed in October, Swansea do not have a manager lined up to come in immediately.
