Sixty patients who tested positive for coronavirus in Lagos state have been discharged after recovering from the disease.
The state ministry of health broke the news in a tweet on Tuesday.
The patients, 40 males and 20 females, were discharged from isolation centres at Yaba, Ibeju-Lekki and Eti-Osa.
This is the highest number of patients that would be discharged in a single day in Lagos.

A total of 321 patients have now been discharged in the state.
Lagos also announced the death of a 35-year-old male on Tuesday.
Akin Abayomi, the Lagos commissioner for health, made the announcement via his Twitter handle.

According to the situation report of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for May 4, 2020, Lagos has recorded 1,183 COVID-19 cases.
