Adamu Ciroma, ex-CBN governor, to be buried in Abuja

Adamu Ciroma, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who died at an Abuja hospital on Thursday, will be buried at Gudu cemetery in the nation’s capital. 

The burial ceremony will take place after a funeral prayer at Annur Mosque, Wuse zone 2, Abuja.

A family source told TheCable that the funeral service will commence by 5:30pm.

Ciroma died at the age of 83.

A member of his family had earlier told Thecable that he died at a hospital in Abuja.

A prominent politician, Ciroma served as minister of finance under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Maryam, his wife, was a former national women leader of the PDP.
