Fashola to man three ministries

President Muhammadu Buhari has assigned offices to his ministers, charging them to get to work “speedily”.

Reeling out the portfolio after the swearing-in ceremony of the 36 ministers at the council chamber of the presidential villa, the president announced that the ministries have been reduced to 24.

Babatunde Fashola, former governor of Lagos, is minister of power, works and housing.

Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers state and director-general of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign, is the new minister of transportation and Lai Mohammed, APC’s spokesman, minister of information.

Kayode Fayemi is in charge of solid minerals, Kemi Adeosun finance, Adebayo Shittu communications and Audu Ogbeh agriculture.
