One more Ebola patient has been discharged in Lagos, minister of health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, confirmed on Wednesday.
This brings to eight, the total number of Ebola patients who have recovered from the disease and have been discharged.
“Eighth patient of Ebola Virus Disease to be successfully managed was discharged yesterday [Tuesday] in Lagos,” special assistant on media and communication to the minister of heath, Dan Nwomeh, wrote on his Twitter timeline.
However, there is another confirmed case of Ebola in Port Harcourt, which brings to four the total number of Ebola patients in the oil hub of the country.

In total, there are 18 confirmed cases of Ebola in Nigeria, including the index case by Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer.
“Minister of health gives new updates on Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria, says confirmed cases now 18, with 14 in Lagos and 4 in Port Harcourt,” Nwomeh said.
