A blastbeen reported near the Kantin Kwari international textiles market in Kano has killed six people.
This is coming less than two weeks after the emir’s mosque in Kano was hit by suspected Boko Haram militants, leading to the death of more than 100 people.
Musa Majiya, spokesman of the Kano state police command, confirmed the attack, saying it was carried out by two female suicide bombers.
“Six persons died in the attack, including the suicide bombers, while seven persons sustained wounds,” he said.

Majiya added that the twin blasts occurred about 3pm on Wednesday.
