President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives, at the presidential villa.
Bashir Ahmad, special assistant to the president on new media, disclosed this on Twitter.
This is the first time the president is meeting the speaker since July 21, when Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member of the house, levelled allegations of corruption against the leadership of the lower chamber.

Jibrin, whom the speaker sacked as the chairman of the house committee on appropriations, had alleged that Dogara and some leaders of the house made insertions of about N250bn in the 2016 budget.

In response, Dogara accused Jibrin of blackmailing the president and inserting funds for personal projects in the budget.
On Monday, Jibrin formally submitted petitions against Dogara whom he called a “shameless fraud” to anti-graft agencies, vowing to bring him down.
On Thursday, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party of the warring duo, warned Jibrin to desist from publicly making allegations against Dogara.
Buhari’s meeting with Dogara is coming just as the APC has intervened in the fray.
