Gunshots as Ekiti APC primary ends without winner

Sounds of gunshot are being heard across Olukayode stadium in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state, venue of the botched All progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election.

It is unclear if the shots are being fired by security personnel or suspected thugs.

Thirty-three aspirants sought to clinch the party’s ticket for the July election.

The exercise was going on smoothly but trouble broke out after some agents smashed ballot boxes, saying there were plots to manipulate the exercise.

  1. Your comment.. All the aspirant should humble their self and allow peace to continue reigning in Ekiti! their is no competition without a winner and loser so I plead to all aspirant should not allow violence in our state .

  2. Your comment..if we aren’t fools, how can someone serve as a governor for four years, minister for four years without a distance and still he still want to govern for another four years at all cost. That’s very selfish.
