There was a fire outbreak at the Abuja residence of Bukola Saraki, senate president, early Friday morning, TheCable understands.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but sources said it was contained by the fire service.
“It could have been a major disaster but for the quick detection and the prompt response of the fire fighters. We still don’t know what caused the fire,” a source at the scene told TheCable, adding that no one was hurt.
The fire reportedly started from the top floor of the two-story building.
