The Kano Line Motor Park, located at Naibawa Area, along Zaria Road, Kano, has been hit by a blast.
The attack was carried out by two suicide bombers while passengers at the park were disembarking from a bus at around 3pm.
Musa Majiya, spokesman of the Kano state police command, told TheCable that 12 people, including the bombers, died.
He also said three vehicles were destroyed.

He explained that the suicide bombers boarded a Volkswagen bus headed for the park and detonated the explosives while the passengers were alighting from the bus.
The very busy nature of the park had sparked fears of a heavy casualty toll, but Majiya initially said he didn’t have the exact casualty figures.
“I am at the scene now trying to gather information. I will respond to you later,” he said at the time.

The Kano blast comes just a few hours after at least 15 people were killed in Potiskum, Yobe state, in a separate suicide bomb attack at the Tashar Dan-Borno motor park.
