Super eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has opted to play tournament favourites, Argentina, with the same starting eleven that defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 on Saturday.
Keshi shocked Nigerians on Saturday when he dropped forward Victor Moses from the starting eleven in favour of then four-cap and little-known Michael Babatunde, for the match against Bosnia-Herzegovina that needed to be won for Nigeria to maintain a chance of qualifying for the knockout round.
Babatunde validated the gaffer’s trust in him by putting in a top shift, troubling the Bosnian defence on a number of occasions and drawing two difficult saves from goalkeeper Begovic in the second half.
Also dropped from the starting team against Iran were Ramon Azeez — who was replaced by Osaze odemwingie, and the injured Godfrey oboabona, who was replaced by team captain, Joseph Yobo.

Like Babatunde, Odemwingie posted an assured performance, in fact scoring the solitary strike of the game, which earned the Super Eagles their first World Cup win since the 1-0 defeat of Bulgaria on June 19, 1998.
