One case of ravaging hemorrhagic disease, Lassa fever, has been recorded at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba.
Isaac Adewole, the minister of health, confirmed on Friday that the case involves a 25-year-old student of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He said that the patient in question was responding to treatment.
This extends the presence of the disease to 11 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
