Paul Le Guen, the Frenchman and former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coach who was named technical adviser of the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday, is refusing to sign the contract that would signal the take-off of his reign.
Calls to the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) officials were unanswered but a source very close to the federation told TheCable on Tuesday that the Frenchman had not yet signed because he was uncomfortable with some clauses in the contract.
“The reason he might be avoiding signing is because he refused to accept some terms, like qualifying Nigeria for the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup,” he said. “But I know that the NFF guys are on top of the situation and so will just see how things play out.”
