Forty-five top directors at the Department of State Services (DSS) have been “compulsorily retired”, TheCable has been informed.
And top on the list is Marilyn Ogar, who was deputy director of public relations of the agency until two months ago.
Ibrahim Katsina and Abdulrahman Mani, who was recently removed as chief security officer to Buhari; Gordon Obua, chief security officer to Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan; as well as the CSO to Ita Ekpeyong, former director-general of the agency, were also named among the retirees.
Most of the affected officers are believed to be close to Ekpeyong.

On the flip side, Ibrahim Audu, who was retired almost two years ago for going AWOL and losing his service weapon to armed robbers, was reabsorbed into the service
Ogar was transferred to Maiduguri, Borno state, in July, but the posting was put on hold following insinuations that it was “punitive”.
A senior official of the DSS who confirmed the retirement to TheCable said it was “immediate and compulsory”.

As DSS spokesperson, Ogar was responsible for defending the activities of the agency in the media and she is believed to be paying for some of her pronouncements, notably in the face-off with the Bring Back Our Girls movement and the DSS raids on the Lagos office of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
She, alongside at least 44 other directors, already lost her recent promotion following Buhari’s nullification of the exercise.

I think she deserves it. She threw professionalism to the waste bin and caution to the wind. This will teach others a huge lesson on how not to do their jobs.
Like Dassuki, like Ogar.I wish President should be a little caution on all these former loyalist of ex President. The should all not been seen as enemy of present Government.
I have a dream of a new Nigeria Ware professionalism will worth standing firmly for.
