Multiple explosions ripped through a market in Madagali, Adamawa state, on Friday, killing “at least 30 people”.
Othman Abubakar, Adamawa police spokesman, who first confirmed the incident to TheCable, said he said he was on his way — alongside the commissioner police — to the scene of the blasts.
The number of casualties could not be immediately ascertained, but Badare Akintoye, a military spokesman, later said “at least 30 people have been killed in the suicide blasts carried out by two female suicide bombers in the market in the town of Madagali”.
He said two female suicide bombers detonated their explosives in the busy market.
