Myles Munroe, wife die in plane crash

Best selling author, preacher and business coach, Myles Munroe, and his wife, Mrs. Ruth Ann Munroe (both pictured), have died in a plane crash in the Bahamas.

His daughter, Charisa, was also initially reported to be on the flight but the reports have now been denied.

According to The Associated Press, the plane, a Lear LEA 36 executive jet, reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area.

The Bahamas ministry of transport and aviation reported that the Lear 36 executive jet departed the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) in Nassau, Bahamas at 4:07pm for the Grand Bahama International Airport, a privately owned international airport in Freeport, Bahamas, with nine people on board.

The plane crashed while making an approach for landing at Grand Bahama International Airport at 5.10pm, it said. The crash killed all nine people on board the private jet.

The identities of the other people on board have not yet been confirmed.

The cause of the crash was not immediately determined, though there had been heavy rain across the region.

A full investigation is expected to begin on Monday.

The crash occurred as people were gathering in Grand Bahama for Dr. Munroe’s 2014 Global Leadership Forum which starts November 10.

Nigeria’s Folorunso Alakija, rated as Africa’s richest woman, was scheduled to speak at the forum.

  5. Oh! My God, this is a sad, sad news this morning, I love this man, he preaches like no other, the simplicity and the practicality of the word of God from his mouth blesses my soul, o! what a sad loss, but all to the Glory of God, may Jesus our LORD and SAVIOUR whose gospel Myles Munroe has propagated, receive his soul in his eternal kingdom, Amen and Amen.
This goes to show that, the time, the hour, the day, no man knows, so it’s left for all of us, to make our ways right with God, so that when the time finally comes, we shall not be found wanting and Jesus will be waiting right at the door for us. Hallelujah!
REST IN PEACE MYLES, your wife and daughter too and all the other passengers in the aircraft. May the Lord comfort your families.

  6. The message in my church yesterday was just ringing in my ears and could not believe that it is preparing us to receive a news such as this. Dr Myles, you led a purposeful life and inspired many to greatness while giving meaning to a lot of lives worldwide. Rest in peace generals.

  7. This is really sad and painful, a great loss indeed to humanity. I just hope and believe they made their ways right with God, we see them again over there. To all of us who are still living, its important we get ready at all times because death could come by any means, how prepared are we to stand before God to answer for our lives on earth here. Please, repent and give your life to Christ if you have not done so and it shall be well with you in Jesus name. Amen

  8. Just coming from my father’s burial this morning, may their gentle souls all together flow in a serene cottage.

  9. Dr Munroe was a great motivator. He had indent understanding of the Kingdom of God and how it operates. He motivated us to live accordingly. I have learnt a lot from His teachings. A great loss to Christ’s Body on earth but to depart is “TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD” – 2COR 5:1-9. He said “The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without a purpose.”

  10. The death of the Lord’s general. I know you didn’t die but has gone to rest with Lord. May your soul rest in peace.

  11. So shocking! So unreal! Rest in peace Dr Myles and Ruth Munroe. I cherish the memory of your visit to House of Grace Church. May God comfort your family and the families of all the victims.

  12. I’ve been too numb to think clearly since I heard the news today. But in my religiously conservative mind, I feel there are certain deaths which certain people shouldn’t die, and Dr. Monroe certainly belonged in that circle. Was it a case of the devil sneaking in in an unguarded moment? Was it God’s time and God’s way of calling in His servant into rest? If so why the mass death? Oh why, why, why…? People of God, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion…men of God, watch out! May the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace

  13. RIP Dr myles and your lovely wife.its painful to bear but according to God’s word,in everything we give him(God)thanks.
