Nigeria in group of death for 2018 World Cup qualifiers

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are grouped with Zambia, Cameroun, Algeria in Group B of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers, whose draw was just concluded at the CAF headquarters in Cairo.

Nigeria’s group is considered the group of death, for the hard-cracking teams fused into the group.

The Super Eagles failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations 2017 and Nigerian soccer fans are eagerly looking up to the team to make it to the next World Cup after it got to the FIFA World Cup second round in Brazil 2014.

  1. Personally, I thought Group E is the zone of death! I tip Nigeria and Algeria to qualify from Group B. Although anything is possible. We are talking about football, right?
