Plateau gov storms house of reps as PDP lawmaker joins APC

Simon Lalong, governor of Plateau state, stormed the house of representatives on Wednesday to witness the defection of Edward Pwajock, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member from Plateau, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of reps, read Pwajock’s letter in plenary on Wednesday.

Pwajock, representing Jos east/south federal constituency of Plateau state, said he left his former party because of the crisis there.

Reacting, Leo Ogor, minority leader of the house, faulted Pwajock’s excuse for citing factions in the PDP as an excuse for defecting.
