Police offer N50m reward over Chibok girls

The Nigeria Police Force has announced a N50 million reward for “anyone who volunteers credible information that will lead to the location and rescue of the female students abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State”.

The force also urged all patriotic citizens with useful information to contact the following numbers: 09-2914649, o808 177 7309, 0805 554 7536, 0803 215 050, 0803 461 7591, 0803 596 731.

“While calling on the general public to be part of the solution to the present security challenge, the police high command also reassures all citizens that any information given would be treated anonymously and with utmost confidentiality,” Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said.

More than 200 “Chibok girls” were abducted by gunmen suspected to members of Boko Haram three weeks ago, and while some of them have escaped and two are reported to have died, none of them has been rescued.
