American iconic artiste, Prince, died on Thursday at age 57 at his Paisley Park home and studio, Minnesota.
His publicist broke the news to the Associated Press.
He was found unresponsive and later declared dead, according to reports.
Celebrity website TMZ, citing sources close to the star, was first to report Prince’s death at the home in Paisley Park, in a Minneapolis suburb.

TMZ also broke the news of Michael Jackson’s death in 2009.
Prince was an innovative and influential singer and songwriter whose hits included “Purple Rain” and “Kiss”.
He sold more than 100 million records during his career, won seven Grammy awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
