Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has won the highest votes in Aguata LGA of Anambra state.
The APGA candidate defeated Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The three frontrunners in the Anambra governorship election are from Aguata.
Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), polled 9,136 votes to defeat the other contenders.

The APC candidate came a distant second after polling 4,773 votes. Ozigbo, the PDP candidate, followed closely after securing 3,798 votes.
While announcing the result on Sunday, Alim Ajake, the LGA collation officer, said the election did not hold in some units in four wards.
Ajake listed the affected wards as Umuchu I Ekwulobia II, Igbo-Ukwu I and Igbo-Ukwu II.

The collation officer said the total number of registered voters in Aguata LGA is 144,766.
He said while 20,809 voters were accredited, 20,202 voted. According to him, 19,548 votes were valid and 654 were rejected.
