A suicide bomber in “Keke NAPEP” detonated near the office of Department of State Service (DSS) in Maiduguri on Saturday, Reuters reported.
Security sources told the news agency that the blast went off a few metres from the office at about 7am.
One of the security sources said one person was killed, as well as the bomber, while a hospital source said four people were being treated for injuries.
Boko Haram has stepped up bombings and attacks since President Muhammadu Buhari’s inauguration, leading to hundreds of deaths.
