Tinubu appoints Wale Edun, Nuhu Ribadu, Dele Alake as special advisers

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dele Alake as his special adviser on special duties, communications and strategy.

Nuhu Ribadu, former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was named special adviser on security, while Wale Edun was appointed special adviser, monetary policies.

Their appointment was announced on Thursday in a statement signed by Abiodun Oladunjoye, director of information, state house.

In total, the president appointed eight persons as special advisers.

Yau Darazo was named special adviser, political and intergovernmental affairs, while Olu Verheijen has been appointed special adviser on energy.

The president also appointed Zachaeus Adedeji as special adviser on revenue, while John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu was named special adviser on industry, trade and investment.

Salma Ibrahim Anas was appointed special adviser on health.

The president said the appointments are with immediate effect.

On June 6, 2023, the senate approved a request from Tinubu to appoint 20 special advisers.
