President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja today for the United Kingdom to commence a two-week vacation.

Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy, said in a statement that the vacation is part of the president’s annual leave.

“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms,” the statement reads.

“He will return to the country after the leave expires.”

Tinubu has embarked on a raft of official and unofficial trips to the UK and France since he was elected president in March 2023.

On August 29, Tinubu left Abuja for China, but stopped in Dubai before arriving in Beijing on September 1.

On September 16, the president returned to Abuja after a “fruitful two-week trip” to China and the UK.
