Nigerian troops have routed Boko Haram militants from Bama, Borno state, “this afternoon”, the defence headquarters (DHQ) has said.
Announcing the victory of the troops at Bama through its Twitter handle @DefenceInfoNG on Monday, the DHQ said: “Nigerian troops have this afternoon routed terrorists from Bama in Borno state. Mopping up operation is ongoing.”
TheCable had earlier reported that Boko Haram was in control of Bama, contrary to reports that the insurgents had been expelled from the town since last week last.
Bama, the second largest town in Borno and 70km away from Maiduguri, the state capital, had been in the grip of Boko Haram since September 2014.

I am sorry for APC who have been castigating the presidency all this time for not fighting these terrorists. They even taunted that the C in C was fighting from the rear.
The buble is burst.
