Brymo signs for US-based record label

Olawale Ashimi, better known as Brymo, has signed a distribution deal with United States-based record label, TMG.

The deal, aimed at distributing Brymo’s first international album, Trance, would make his album available to his fans in the US.

Lanre Lawal, Brymo’s manager, made this known on Tuesday, heightening expectations on the highly anticipated album from the Nigeria star.

“Oklahoma based Record Label & Music Publishing Company, TMG set to release Brymo’s first International album titled Trance,” Lawal said.

“Fans and music lovers in the United States will be able to buy physical copies of @brymolawale albums in music stores.”

Brymo was previously signed to Chocolate City – a record label currently led by Jude Abaga, popularly called MI – before the act and the label fell out.

The Ara crooner is also signed as an ambassador for the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The 29-year-old has three albums to him name; Tabula Rasa, Merchants, Dealers & Slaves, #TheSonOfaKapenta, with the hopes of making a hit from his September-bound release.

The son of a carpenter as he is often regarded has been nominated for as the best male artiste in West Africa and the best Africa contemporary artiste in the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
