President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dauda Biu as the substantive corp marshal/chief executive officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
In July, Biu was appointed as the acting corps marshal of the FRSC.
He took over from Boboye Oyeyemi who bowed out of service that same month.
The appointment was announced on Friday in a statement by Willie Bassey. director of information for the secretary to the government of the federation.

According to the statement, Buhari also approved the reappointment of Lanre Gbajabiamila as director-general of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission.
For the River Basin Development Authorities (RBDAs), Bello Gwarzo was reappointed as executive director (planning) of Hadejia Jama’are RBDA; while Olatunji Babalola was reappointed as executive director (engineering) of Ogun-Osun RBDA.
Adewale Adeoye was reappointed as executive director (planning and design) of Ogun-Osun RBDA, while Bala Zango was reappointed as executive director (planning) of Sokoto Rima RBDA.

Ononuju Nwabunor was also reappointed as executive director (agricultural services) of Benin Owena RBDA.
Buhari congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their duties.
