President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, former deputy governor of Lagos state, as his senior special assistant on sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Orelope-Adefulire served in the second term of the eight-year administration of Babatunde Fashola, minister of power and the immediate past governor of the state.
Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, confirmed Orelope-Adefulire’s appointment in a statement issued on Monday.
The statement described Orelope-Adefulire as an accomplished politician with many years of experience in public service.

She also served as commissioner for women affairs and poverty alleviation in Lagos.
