Buhari appoints Mustapha as MD of waterways authority

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Boss Gida Mustapha as the managing director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

Bolaji Adebiyi, director of press and public relations in the office of the secretary to the government of the federation, disclosed this in a statement issued late Thursday.

Adebiyi said the appointment of Mustapha is for a term of four years “in the first instance”.

Mustapha is a lawyer “with extensive experience in both private and public sectors in management positions”.

The new MD is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Adamawa state.
