President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency meeting with governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A source told TheCable that the meeting is scheduled to hold at the presidential villa in Abuja late Tuesday.
The governors earlier met with the president, but that meeting was also attended by governors from other political parties.
The reason for the meeting is unclear but it is believed to be connected with the crisis rocking the party at the moment.

Since the emergence of the leadership of the eighth national assembly, lawmakers loyal to the winner and losing camps have remained divided.
On Tuesday, senators of the party clashed during a meeting to discuss appointment of leadership positions in the upper chamber, while eight governors of the party have also asked John Oyegun, the national chairman, to step down.
