President Muhammadu Buhari has reached Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), through telephone over the death of Jide, his first son.
Jide reportedly died under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday.
“He was not sick. As at last night, he was full of life. But we leave everything to God,” a source had told TheCable.
In a statement, Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, quoted Buhari as saying the demise of Jide was sad and painful.
