The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has distanced itself from a protest that held at the official residence of Abba Kyari, chief of staff of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Some protesters on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Concerned National Stakeholders had called for the sack of Kyari on Monday.
They held placards which read “Abba Kyari must go”, “No more cabal” and “PMB must take charge of his government”, among others.
But in a series of tweets, the organisation said it was not in support of the protest.

It said Kyari has given his best and if Buhari decides to retain his chief of staff, they would not object to it.
“We wish to dissociate the Buhari Media Org. from protests held today at the Defense House, by persons calling for the resignation of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari. We did not sanction nor support these protests, neither do we subscribe to their mission,” the organisation tweeted.
“Mallam Abba Kyari, as Chief of Staff to the President has brought in a sublime sophistication to the dispensation of his duties; he has given his best dutifully, and has been instrumental, providing the underpinning to the many successes of the President Buhari administration.

“A decision of the President to retain him – if he so wishes – is one we cannot object to, but rather endorse.”
