President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the first set of appointments into his administration, naming Femi Adesina (pictured), president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) as his special adviser on media and publicity), and Garba Shehu as his senior special assistant on media and publicity.
The president has also approved the appointment of Lawal Abdullahi Kazaure as State Chief of Protocol (SCOP).
Apart from his NGE) role, Adesina is also the managing director/editor-in-chief of The Sun newspapers.
Garba Shehu, meanwhile, served as director of media and publicity of the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress. He was president of NGE 16 years ago.
Abdullahi Kazaure is a career foreign service official and currently serves in Aso Rock Villa as a special assistant on presidential matters.
