Buhari, Obasanjo meet Brown in New York

President Muhammadu Buhari and Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, held a meeting with Gordon Brown, former British prime minister, on Saturday in New York. 

Buhari is currently in the United States for the 70th United Nations General Assembly. He and Obasanjo have held secret meetings of recent.

In the last of such meetings, which held at the presidential villa in Abuja, Obasanjo waved aside reporters who tried to approach him on the outcome of the meeting.

“No joor,” he said humorously.

The former president and Buhari seem to be enjoying a good relationship. In August, Buhari named him his special envoy on the crisis in Guinea Bissau and later commended Obasanjo “for doing a good job”.

Both men go into record as the only Nigerians who have presided over the country as military heads of state and civilian presidents.
