Buhari replaces retired permanent secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed 18 new permanent secretaries as replacement for those retired earlier on Tuesday.

Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, disclosed the president’s appointments, which included a redeployment of permanent secretaries.

The new secretaries include Ayotunde Adesugba, Mahmoud Isa-Dutse, Taiwo Abidogun, Bukar Hassan, Wakama Belema Asifieka, Jalal Ahmad Arabi, Sabiu Zakari, Obiageli Phyllis Nwokedi, Aminu Nabegu, Bamgbose Olukunle Oladele.

Others are Alo Williams Nwankwo, Shehu Ahmed, Ogbonnaya Innocent Kalu, Nuratu Jimoh Batagarawa, Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa, Bassey Apkanyung, Louis Edozien and Ugo Roy.

Below is the list of all the permanent secretaries and their ministries:

Shehu Ahmad (agric and rural development); Sunday Echono (communications); Sabiu Zakari (transportation); Ayotunde Adesugba (information and culture); Danjuma Sheni (defence); Shade Yemi-Esan (education); Fatima Mede (budget and national planning); Mahmoud Isa Dutse (finance); Bulus Lolo (foreign affairs); Amina Shamaki (health); Aliyu Bisalla (industry, trade and investment); Bassey Akpanyung, (internal affairs); Taiwo Abidogun (justice); Habiba Lawal (science and technology); and Clement Illoh (labour and productivity).

Others are: Jamila Shu’ara (petroleum resources); Binta Bello (women affairs); Babatope Ajakaiye (federal capital territory); Rabi Jimeta (water resources); Bukar Hassan (environment); Wakama Asifieka (Niger Delta affairs); Istifanus Fuktur (solid minerals); Christian Ohaa youth and sports); A.G. Magaji (works and housing); and Louis Edozien (power).

The remaining ones are: Jalal Arabi (state house); Mohammed Bukar (general services office, OSGF); Abbas Mohammed (ecological Fund office, OSGF); Ugo Roy (council secretariat); Aminu Nabegu (special services office, OSGF); Bamgbose Akindele (political affairs office, OSGF); Alo Williams Nwankwo (economic affairs office, OSGF); Mrs. Obiageli Nwokedi (Special Duties Office, OSGF); Mr. Innocent Ogbonnaya (Career Management Office, OHCSF); S.K.Y. Adelakun (common services office, OHCSF) and N. Batagarawa (service policy and strategies office, OHCSF).
