President Muhammadu Buhari has assured youths in the country that he will see to the implementation of the outcomes of the first-ever Progressives Youth Conference (PYC).
The conference organised by APC Youths is currently ongoing at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Buhari made the promise in his opening address at the conference where he was represented by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Others expected to attend are Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives; Mai Mala Buni, APC caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee and governor of Yobe state.

Also expected are representatives of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Sunday Dare, minister of youths and sports; Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, and Rauf Aregbesola, minister of interior.
The president, in his speech, commended the youth wing of the APC under the leadership of Ismaeel Ahmed, saying he is proud of the work the youth is doing in the administration’s effort to restore Nigeria to a enviable place in the comity of nations.
“We have removed age barrier with the passage of the Not To Young to Run Bill and appointment has been guided by equity and fairness,” Buhari said.

“The conference is very timely coming at a time the party just finished registration and revalidation of our party membership and about to begin congresses starting at the ward level next month.”
The President revealed that whilst he couldn’t wait to receive the report of the outcome of the conference, he promised that the outcome will have a visible impact on the administration.
Meanwhile, several panelists and speakers are lined up for the event. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be speaking on National Development Outcomes Of Youth Political Participation.
