2019 campaign posters of President Muhammadu Buhari have littered major streets of Makurdi, the capital city of Benue state.
According to PUNCH, the posters were found at major roundabouts, the gate and perimeter fence of the Federal Medical Centre, located along Ali Akilu road, and other areas in the city.
The posters with the logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) read, ‘Nigerians resolve Buhari 2019, after healing come greatness, just believe.’
Some of the persons interviewed expressed concern over the appearance of the posters accusing the sponsors of mischief at the time the president is alleged to be seriously ill.

A middle-aged man who simply identified himself as Ogbole said, “I begin to ponder what manner of people Nigeria is made of, we are having an ailing president that needs our prayer but instead of this, the sponsors of the posters are making a mess of the issue.”
Also, Tsugba described the development as ‘unwarranted’, saying ‘what the president needs from Nigerians now is prayer for God to heal him, so as to have time to focus on the challenges facing the country’.
