Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe state, has signed a bill to establish a commission for people with disabilities (PWDs) in the state.

The governor said the initiative as a step towards improving the welfare of PWDs and integrating them into the development process of their communities.

Speaking on Monday through Buba Lawan, his senior special assistant on media, the governor said the commission would ensure inclusivity and provide a sense of belonging for PWDs.
